Adult Classes - Summer 2010
Romans 1 - 8
Teacher: George Roth
Paul wrote his epistle to the Romans
before he had ever visited Rome. Rome was at the center of the
world that Christ died for. Paul writes this letter to a church
started by people he knows…to whom he desires to preach the Gospel.
The book of Romans is placed first among the epistles in our Bibles
because it contains the most complete exposition of Christian
truths. These truths are as true today as they were in Paul’s
time. They needed to be heard then and they need to be heard today
because we live in a culture that puts mankind at its center. The
theme of Romans is the righteousness of God and that the only cure
for man’s sin and our lost race is the perfect remedy of Christ.
Please join this study this summer. We will study a chapter a week
in this first half of Romans.

Foundations

Teacher: Jamie St. Ours
See the "Big Picture" by studying the Bible
chronologically. Studying the Bible as an integrated whole
produces a clearer understanding of God, His hand in history, man's
sinfulness, God's grace, the principle of substitution, and Christ,
the Promised Redeemer. This Bible study systematically lays a
solid foundation for understanding the Gospel and Christian growth.
These lessons follow God's pattern of progressively revealing
Himself, His character, and His plan of redemption within the
context of history.
A steadfast faith is built on the firm foundation of God's Word.
All of God's Word is necessary for an understanding of His
plan. All too often, the Old Testament is seen as less
important in light of New Testament assertions. This course is
designed to help people gain a clear understanding of God, man's
relationship with Him, and the grace He has made freely available
through the death of His Son.
This class will take approximately 1 year to complete - moving from
Genesis through the life of Christ. It will be well worth the
time and effort for any Christian - young in their faith or more
seasoned - to invest in their walk with the Lord by traveling
through the Bible...from Creation to Christ!
